Our Response to the Government’s Disability Reform Green Paper

Like many other charities, Citizens Advice BCP are seriously concerned about the changes proposed in the ‘Pathways to Work: Reforming Benefits and Support to Get Britain Working’ Green Paper.

These cuts will hit disabled people and their families hard—pushing hundreds of thousands into poverty, and many more into even deeper hardship. The changes are being driven by budget targets, and do not seem to be based on any real attempt to improve lives. We believe they’ll cause serious harm in ways the government clearly hasn’t fully thought through.
