At Citizens Advice BCP, we continue to see how rising housing costs, energy bills and debt pressures are impacting people’s ability to maintain a decent standard of living.
Our September bulletin focuses on the growing challenges facing local residents, and highlights the need for action on the issues that place the greatest strain on household budgets. Through our advice services, we are seeing increasing numbers of people struggling with rent shortfalls, energy debt and unaffordable repayment demands. Natalie’s story illustrates the impossible choices many households face when income does not keep pace with essential living costs.
Drawing on our client data and case evidence, we are calling for policy changes that better reflect the realities people face every day.
