Jane Burrows | Chair of Trustees
Jane is a member of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute and served as a Principal Officer for BCP Council. Through a liaison role on consumer protection, she became a trustee for Citizens Advice BCP.
Andrew Karno | Vice Chair of Trustees
Before retiring in 2014, Andrew worked in the IT industry for over 35 years in a variety of sectors. Prior to moving to Bournemouth in 2020, Andrew was a Trustee of a learning disability charity in Woking, Surrey.
Paul Kemp | Treasurer and Company Secretary
Paul joined the charity in 2023 after 34 years working in industry, initially as a development chemist before concentrating on finance, IT, and business change leadership. In 2018, Paul was appointed as a Justice of the Peace, sitting on the Dorset bench, and he also works as a Volunteer with the charity Hope for Food.

Sarah-Jane Maidens | Trustee
Sarah is a chartered accountant with a law degree. She has worked in the financial sector and since 2007 has been a partner in a firm providing outsourced services in the asset management sector. She joined as a trustee in 2023.
Ann Dimmock | Trustee
Ann worked in marketing and communications in the software industry before moving into higher education. After a period at Oxford University, which included launching their first MBA programme, Ann moved to Bournemouth and joined the university here. Ann was Director of Marketing & Communications at BU from 2013 to 2020. Now retired and a student herself, Ann joined Citizens Advice BCP as a Trustee in October 2022.
Jacqueline Rance | Trustee
Jacqueline was Director of a social enterprise in Kenya for 10 years and a Management Consultant in South Korea for 4 years. Her endeavour was bringing creative wealth solutions to grass roots projects in emerging economies.
Growing up in culturally diverse environments, she developed a deep appreciation for the complexities of international relations and the importance of effective governance in a globalised world.
Jacqueline’s ambition as a CA Trustee is to expand the good work being done in Justice Advice, equipping vulnerable people with the tools they need to stand, survive and thrive in an increasingly fragmented society.
David Sargent – Trustee
David is a qualified management accountant who held several financial director roles in manufacturing companies and has previously held non-executive roles with Magna Housing Association and Healthcare Dorset. Since running a small hardware shop for 5 years he has now fully retired.
Chika Norah Udezue – Trustee
Chika holds a degree in English and a master’s in human resource development and is a journalist by profession. She worked for the world’s biggest oil company, Saudi ARAMCO for twenty years as a writer and community relations officer. She also edited a medical newsletter for many years.
She now currently works as a motivational speaker and is also a Justice of the Peace for England and Wales. Chika has been honoured severally for her contributions to the Dorset community and beyond. In addition to Citizens Advice BCP, she is also a trustee of the International Care Network.
