Thousands of local people are struggling to make ends meet, often leading to spiralling debt, and an inability to cope financially. We are responding to this issue by piloting a new ‘out of hours’ debt advice service, called Smart Money BCP.

The project will utilise virtual (telephone/video call) and face to face support to offer BCP residents holistic debt advice. Priority will be given to clients who struggle to engage during traditional working hours.

The pilot service will begin in October 2025, and will run until March 2026. Appointments will be available on Monday evenings and Saturdays, and will be limited according to capacity.

Smart Money BCP is run by the Citizens Advice BCP dedicated Debt advice team, who offer regulated help, advice and solutions for clients who are struggling with debt issues that they are unable to manage.
